Good Church of Houston ("Church," "we," "us," or "our") is a nonprofit religious organization located in Katy, Texas. We operate the Good Church of Houston mobile application ("App") and website at goodchurchhouston.org ("Site") to serve our congregation and community.

This Policy is intended to comply with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), effective July 1, 2024, as well as applicable federal laws. If you are a resident of Texas, you have specific rights described in Section 9.

When you submit a "Plan Your Visit" request on our website, we collect your name, phone number (optional), and any notes you choose to include. This information is used exclusively to welcome you and follow up as a new visitor.
Under the Texas TDPSA, the following categories constitute sensitive data, and we collect them only with your explicit, affirmative consent:

Upon deletion of your account, all personally identifiable information will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g., donation records under IRS guidelines).

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with applicable law.
Our App and Site are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at goodchurchhouston@gmail.com and we will promptly delete that information.
For minors between 13 and 17 years of age, we require parental or guardian consent before the minor's information is collected and processed through our App.

Our services are operated in the United States. If you access our App or Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using our services, you consent to this transfer and processing.
For users who are nationals of the Republic of Korea, we note that your information is processed in the United States and is subject to U.S. law. We process your data solely for the purposes described in this Policy and do not transfer your data to any third party beyond the service providers listed in Section 5.
